Little Shop of Horrors! [16 Mar 2004|09:38pm]

[ mood | excited ]

The Gwinn High School Drama Club presents..

Little Shop of Horrors

March 25-27 at 7:00 PM in the Gwinn High School Cafetorium, and Sunday March 28 at 2:00 PM

Tickets are $4 students and seniors, $6 general public
(I'm pretty sure about that, correct me if I'm wrong)

Set in the 1950's, a down-on-his-luck orphan florist for Skid Row Florists, Seymour Krelbourne (Mike Shimon), in the ever-ghetto Skid Row suddenly stumbles across what seems to be good fortune, a carnivorous plant that can bring him anything he wants (voice of Justin Dupras), specifically his co-worker Audrey (Sherry Bollero). The storyline follows Audrey and Seymour to fame and back, dealing with Audrey's no-good boyfriend, a sadistic dentist (Cameron Mahoney), falling in love, and trying to escape the pressure of their boss, Mr. Mushnik (Duncan Ryan-Ross), the owner of the shop. The tale is brought to life by three know-it-all urchins (Laura Lea Floars, Jess Herndon, Emily Strazzinski) who always know just what's going down and always seem to have the "I know something you don't know" attitude. You'll fall in love with the cast as you're brought through a roller coaster of ups, downs, twists, and turns on the magical ride through their Little Shop of Horrors.

Hope to see you there!

Let me know if you want any more info!!

wake up, PAAC hibernauts! [11 Feb 2004|03:52pm]

[ mood | disappointed ]

this could be an incredibly useful resource - if anyone was here! i suppose if there are readers out there who i dont know, i should introduce myself to avoid insulting someone. i am sky, & my most prevalent hat at PAAC is that of a lighting designer, particularly in the absence of our dear compatriot "jhusan." my current project is designing "Resevoir Dogs", & i will be assisted by my design partner, Kelly Stephenson [S&M Design]. i was only thinking how easy it would be to communicate with everyone involved in RD through this community; this is one of the few times i am saddened to be the only one with an idea.

anywho, ill keep my ear to the rail, in case of any silent observers i may have stirred. regardless of how active we end up here, i will plan on seeing you en masse at the Vista.

catch ya later on down the trail, dude...

The Christmas Schooner Is Here! [23 Nov 2003|09:37pm]

[ mood | accomplished ]

Hey everyone! Long time no see/talk! I just wanted to let you know that Gwinn's production of "The Christmas Schooner" is coming up quick! Here's some info...
December 4, 5, and 6 at 7:00
December 7 at 2:00
Gwinn High School Cafetorium
Admission: Students- $4 Adults- $6
Tickets are available at Snowbound Books in Marquette, Crossroads Mini-Mart, Gwinn High School office, and at the door one hour before the show. (And some other places but they're all in Gwinn.)
If you want information on the show, visit www.mtishows.com and look at The Christmas Schooner. It's a great story and it takes place between Manistique and Chicago. AND the music is absolutely gorgeous!
Try to pass the word along... This isn't a show that everyone has heard of, but it's definitely worth big crowds! Especially try to pass it on to other Brigadooners who know me and Dave. Dave's the director. I have the female lead! Nick Dupras'little brother has the male lead. You really should try to get out here to see it! Hope to see you there, guys!!!

Absence [10 Aug 2003|11:59am]

[ mood | hyper ]

I'm not gonna be able to make it to the set build today. My parents both already made trips to Marquette and we have to go into rehearsal tonight, so if I went, that would be four trips in today and that's lots of gas. Hope you guys get lots done and have fun... See you all tonight! :-)

[ mood | tired ]

Does anyone know if there are more posters left for Brigadoon? I can think of like six (or more) places I could put them where lots of people would be interested.

Michelle - there's two pictures at http://vistatheater.org/~rhenry/1.jpg and http://vistatheater.org/~rhenry/3.jpg that might be useful for making little pictures for this thing.
